THE Anglo-Omani Society is seeking a communications officer who will also work with its new New Generation Group (NGG) and is also offering two internships, all based at its central London headquarters.
The society promotes the historic bonds between the UK and Oman, and is a registered charity with more than 1,500 members internationally and the successful communications officer candidate also will be responsible for the effective management of its younger part, the NGG, and supporting the Society’s communications strategy with a variety of activities.
Other responsibilities will include online media outreach across various platforms, managing The Anglo-Omani Society Internship Programme, organising the NGG Delegations in the UK, and liaising with third party organisations such as the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in London, Omani Students Societies, and others. There will be occasional travel to Oman.
Essential skills include excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills; proven experience managing online communities using social media tools such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
